Yoga Butt Kicking
Last month, I went upstairs in one of our local yoga studios here in Vancouver with nervous anticipation. When I entered the door, I saw the light scent of incense spread through the air. I went into the studio and was mixed with a good, attractive young lady met with the most recent lululemon clothing.
At this point I began to feel intimidated, but she quickly reassured me and asked me if it was my first time I said yes, and they offered me two weeks specialNewcomers – all yoga for two weeks at a cost of $ 30.
After I paid, I went to my class before you go – 90 minute Vinyasa Flow … so how did it go?
To put it mildly – I got my ass! I work for more than 15 years, says with free weights and keep myself in good shape, but I need you, I was dripping with sweat after a few minutes. It 'was a full body workout from head to foot – the buttocks, stomach and back …Body part on what you can imagine, I think I worked.
What benefit do I have?
Well, the problem with the traditional preparation, it is very easy to make the imbalances. We are all in some years, and this may in some muscles are stronger than others, which may also lead to chronic pain and injuries.
Yoga in fact I liked it because I really wanted to tone my body and correct "imbalances." Yoga achieves this goal"floats" in various positions like "downward dog" or "Council". Within minutes, the heart begins to race as insinuates the body to maintain balance and spend a long-dormant muscles that you can not have.
Yoga is not only physically but also mentally. We focused on breathing and clearing our minds and in the classroom, the teacher helped with positive affirmations and spiritual (especially me) who needed help with locations orrepresent.
A few days later, I still felt excited, and I must say, my attitude was much better, and best of all, in my opinion is much clearer.
In any case, I think more people should do it – I would say was about 80% of females of class. We guys tend to focus on things such as increasing muscle and increase our strength, but with age, is simply not feasible. Can I at least, I see myself with yoga, but they are much older.
And freeWeights?
I would still want to continue my gym regularly, but I think that yoga is an excellent addition to my fitness regimen for the near future!
